- How do I know if my attic contains vermiculite?
- If the house was built between 1920 and 1990 and loose grey-brown granules cover the attic floor, it is probably vermiculite. Only a laboratory analysis confirms the presence of asbestos.
- Is vermiculite dangerous if left alone?
- As long as it stays intact and undisturbed, the risk is limited. It is the disturbance that releases the fibers: never handle it yourself.
